Jen

Jen’s interest in Pilates started after the birth of her second child, when she began working with Lisa Schoenholt of Brooklyn Embodied. Through these sessions, Lisa helped heal her diastasis as well as identified and healed misalignments that were contributing to back and hip pain. After seeing improvements in her own physical health, Jen became inspired to train as a Mat Pilates instructor through the Ellie Herman Pilates training program and Control D instructor.

Jen is also a primary care physician and brings her expertise to her Pilates practice. Her anatomical knowledge has led her to take a special interest in how dynamic movement can help heal injuries and promote a pain-free existence. She believes that the modern world is not built around our physical health and unfortunately often contributes to the chronic pain many people experience. She is a strong believer that interconnectedness with one’s body leads to stronger neurological, physical and cognitive health. Through her Pilates instruction, Jen hopes to promote the wellbeing of her clients and help them improve their daily lives.

Jen lives with her husband, two children and dog in Croton on Hudson, NY.
